The Washington Metropolitan Association
of Chinese Schools (WMACS) announced that it will
establish a 2006 Chinese Language and Culture Exploration Pilot Program for two area educators
who aspire to teach the Chinese language in local
schools.
WMACS
will provide an all-expense paid seven-day trip to

According to a 2005 College
Board survey, 2,400 high schools across the country expressed
interest in establishing Chinese language programs. WMACS is the only Chinese
school
association in the tri-state area that provides the local community with an
opportunity to learn and
appreciate Chinese language and culture.
